She has always had a love for house music, especially African house, though she enjoys a variety of genres. Her lyrics explore deeply personal themes such as mental health, migration, faith and identity. Lisa’s approach is honest and emotional; she’s not chasing trends but creating space for real conversations and connection through her songs. After facing intense challenges with uprooting her life and starting over, family strain and personal loss, Lisa wrote Breaking Free as an anthem for anyone quietly struggling.
