AfroPop singer Rati releases flirty single ‘looking back’ off her debut EP “Emotions”. Afro Pop Newcomer Rati is breathing new life into the afro pop genre with her fresh and uplifting new EP Emotions. Based in Botswana, Rati is now setting her sights further afield and is hoping to gain a new following in South Africa.
Promising upcoming singer-songwriter ABUDEBI ZONJON shares his most personal material to date, which comes in the shape of his latest single ‘Who We Are’.
Oozing Abudebi’s soothing vocals (similar to Tunde Baiyewu of Lighthouse Family), which perfectly intertwine with melodic tones and a meaty Afro bassline, ‘Who We Are’ was inspired by one of the darkest moments of his life when he was betrayed by a friend who he considered a brother.
Despite the betrayal, Abudebi was determined not to let the experience scar his character.
ANA SHINE shares her latest single, ‘Can’t Stop The Rain’, which sees the multi-talented songstress veering down a slightly different route form her emotively compelling ballads as heard in previous efforts, ‘Goodbye’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Be Yourself’.
The latest single creates a nostalgic feel with its 80s-inspired bluesy soul tones, where Ana’s voice, once broods with raw emotion, adopts a soft-retro soulful vibe, recounting the moments of a love she once lost.
