Dawn Melanie - Old Oak

Shifting perspectives

'Old Oak' by Dawn Melanie is a song about shifting perspectives. It references the mythology of Odin and how, hung from his ankle for nine days and nights he gained wisdom. It speaks also of the journey of growing up, getting your heart broken, finding you know less than your youthful arrogance presumed and growing, ultimately, into who you should be through these trials.

It is a dark, yet upbeat track, about finding your own power, with powerful vocals, a great bass line, some epic electric guitar pieces and a deep message backed up by a good beat. The full album "There and Then" is due for release January 2025
