SeYda is a South African artist who blends IsiXhosa with other languages, creating a unique sound that moves through hip-hop, kwaito, house, and amapiano. He started his independent release journey in 2015 with Goldy SeYda, produced by PrimeTime. In 2020, he dropped Bazothini? and followed with Bazothini? II in 2021, both produced by OG TYLER ZA. The success of these projects led him to start his own label, Bazothini? Music, pushing his vision even further.
Through the label, SeYda dropped S.A.B (Starting A Band) featuring Emiky RSA, Mabuda Banger, and Mzukhona, and in 2025 released Block Stories, a tape with artists like Gxarha, Indiana RSA, and Grootman Chillz. The project gave fans bangers such as Izinja Zam and Kwaz’Ban. His music videos have made it onto Channel O, MTV Base, Trace Africa, and Cape Town TV, showing that his sound is connecting on a bigger stage.
